2021.12.07 05:25 scanseinator How to Read This Situation?
I (m19) had a friend of mine (f19) over to hang out. We ended up sleeping in the same bed because we were both exhausted and she didn’t want to walk home. I have a small bed bc college dorms, and we were pretty close together. I asked her if she wanted to make out, and she said no, and I told her that was totally fine and I understood.
A few minutes later though (while mid conversation), she started rubbing me over my pants. I leaned in and started making out with her (she was ok with it this time), but a minute in she broke away and continued our conversation, dodging my question when I asked if she wanted to continue.
How should I interpret this? I kind of like her and would be happy with a relationship, but I’m super confused by what just happened and am unsure of how to proceed.

2021.12.07 05:25 swafromsteam Favorite Operators?
Simple question, Inside of warzone you can favorite operators and randomize your favorites. Can you do the same for modern warfare? I can't see a button for it, but I really hope I can because I don't want to use a few other operators. Thanks in advance.

2021.12.07 05:25 FuckStatism101 Monopolies and Anarcho-Capitalism
I wanted to discuss monopolies with other libertarians. I tried to post on GoldandBlack but my posts keep getting nuked and I cannot figure out why.
In a classical sense, monopolies can form when a company in an industry buys out their competitors. This is a major problem, since once a single company controls an industry, they can jack up prices for a good.
In theory, this can be limited using antitrust and antimonopoly legislation. However, the main issue with this is that often a form of crony capitalism can result, where instead of the government stopping monopolies from forming, it works together with a company to establish a monopoly for mutual benefit. This has the same major problems as with a traditional monopoly.
In anarchy, crony capitalism isn't possible because there is no government. However, there is nothing preventing a traditional monopoly. Competitors can be bought out.
The other issue with anarchy is that there's no law enforcing authority. In theory, everyone abides by the NAP principle. However, nothing truly holds a company from building up a private military or hiring hitmen. So, if a competitor decline being bought out, they can literally be destroyed. Given enough time, this dominant company eventually assumes the role of a government, and we're back to where we started (under government rule), except far more authoritarian.
(This also highlights another issue with anarchocapitalism. How do you settle civil disputes? A private court likely will not be impartial. Not to mention what enforces the rulings of a private court)
So how do we reconcile these issues? In my view this is why something like anarchocapitalism is an impossibility. But obviously there are issues with government control as well. In my view there has to be some balance, and I think the US has been thus far the best example of this, although obviously not completely perfect (eg healthcare problems, bloated federal government, etc). What are your guys' thoughts?

2021.12.07 05:25 throwaway620303 I (20F) think my friend (24M) is manipulating me. Should I stay friends with him?
My friend and I recently had an argument, and things have been tense between us because of it. I'm not really sure what to do about it, but I'm considering breaking the friendship off.
We've been friends for about 6 months at this point. The subject matter of the argument isn't really important here - it's the aftermath that's getting to me.
After the argument happened, we didn't talk for a few days, and when we did talk he essentially blamed me for everything that happened during the argument. Since that point, he's been refusing to talk things through with me. He also hasn't been willing to meet up to discuss anything face-to-face.
When I've reached out, he keeps making plans with me and then cancelling them, ignoring me, leaving me on read when I text him, and leaving me out of plans he makes with our other friends. When I give up trying to communicate, though, he reaches out and tells me he is worried about me, that he really values our friendship, and that he wants to work things out. Lather, rinse, repeat.
All of this has made me feel very isolated and angry, and I'm pretty sure he's doing this on purpose because his feelings are hurt. I've already put in the effort that I'm willing to make and he has yet to match that.
I'm worried about breaking it off with him because it would possibly lead to several other friendships ending if he told them that I was the one in the wrong.
I still care about this person a lot, but the situation is taking a toll on my mental health and making me feel very alone.
So, what would you do if you were me? Would you keep making an effort, or would you end the friendship?

2021.12.07 05:25 pbowers Closing notifications with gesture
I am trying to get used to the gestures rather than reverting to the buttons. One place has me frustrated - trying to close the notification screen with the back Gesture. No matter where I swipe left/right it gets rid of a notification rather than closing notifications. If I try swiping up I first have to swipe to the end of notifications and then swipe it closed - 2 swipes and I am looking for a 1-swipe solution... Any ideas?
(I know, first world problems...)
